The Social Media Strategist will work closely with the Media Director, Digital Content Coordinator, and the Account Planners/Account Coordinator to plan and develop organic social media content and post, monitor and report on our clients’ behalf to achieve social media marketing goals. You may also provide counsel and copy/content support for our clients’ paid social media content.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan monthly content calendars based on social strategy as well as past performance
  • Develop, write, and edit social media content
  • Research audience preferences and monitor current trends
  • Collaborate with designers and digital team on content creation
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Post content according to a pre-planned calendar using social media management programs to improve efficiency and manage all accounts effectively
  • Monitor client accounts and report on comments, reviews, mentions, and messages so that a timely response can be provided
  • Monitor, review, and provide strategic counsel regarding clients’ social media
  • Analyze online conversations and trends related to the client’s industry to discover new opportunities
  • Continually research and stay up to date with evolving social media best practices

Requirements:

  • Experience working on organic social media accounts for clients in multiple social media platforms
  • Excellent social media copywriting skills
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure to meet timelines
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and employ when applicable
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple clients simultaneously
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
