The Hans Brinker Budget Hotel in Amsterdam. I stayed there long before I ever saw their ads and spent my stay repeatedly asking for a pillow I never received. When I saw the campaign years later, it completely changed how I remembered my experience. I suddenly felt very special to have been treated so poorly at the Hans Brinker.
My late Grandpa, Frank. He was always finding new interests and taught himself all kinds of skills. From playing every kind of instrument, to magic, to painting, to handwriting analysis – he was always learning something new. As far as I know, I was the only kid in the 90s who chatted with their Grandpa online. He was also the person who got me interested in drawing at a very young age.
